Heads up bondage adepts/lovers/enthusiasts!

A very good friend of mine, Wanderburg (besides a really nice guy with a warm heart in general and for the rope community in particular, is also an extremely talented photographer (see his Fetlife profile) started developing an incredible work: “The story of Japanese bondage”. Countless hours of research, interviews and designing are leading to the best overview I’ve ever seen on the development of Japanese bondage up to where we are know. With historical details, dates and descending knowledge from masters to students, and relevant illustrations, this overview provides a unique insight in the history of Japanese bondage, from 2.800 BC (!!) up until today. Yes, when I first heard about it, I thought the same as you are thinking now: INCREDIBLE!. And yet it is true! 🙂

You can imagine the enormous amount of work that went into creating this overview, and the result is astonishing.

I write this blogpost about this, because I like to support him and his work. I really feel he should get something for himself out of this. Currently the overview is in German, and is reaching completeness. The upcoming work is:
* finishing the overview, based on feedback of Japanese Shibari teachers
* further fact checking
* translation of the overview to English.

And again, I really feel we as community should thank him for his work.

So, how am I helping?
* I write this blog post, and I will distribute it everywhere!
* I sell a ‘supporting ticket‘ in my webshop.
* I’ll take the responseability to the backers / buyers to communicate with them, print and ship the overview.
